Our family first business has its roots with Marv Saxton, who has practiced fine masonry and carpentry work since 1967 and Mike McCumby, who started renovating homes in 1978, focusing on framing and finishing work. Together in 1997 they formed Saxton-McCumby Builders, Inc., which includes son-in-law, Shawn Kelly, who has 40 years of experience, as well as additional valued family employees.

From the beginning, Marv and Mike have agreed on the same fundamental tenet for customers: do things one way, the right way. We pay attention to detail, from the initial proposal and foundation work through the completion of the build. Our homes are plumb, level and square with a high emphasis on aesthetics and energy efficiency. We use high quality materials and work closely with our subcontractors, many of whom we've known for decades, to meet the customer's every expectation. As owners, Marv and Mike are consistently on site to ensure cost presentations and meet the standards of the project. Our job sites are clean, organized and safety oriented, allowing our team and our customers to work together seamlessly.
